Jennifer Hartfield is a Maryland-based artist, designer, small business owner and a devoted mom to her twins Benjamin and Brielle. Her work reflects a lifelong connection to creativity and culture. Raised in the Bronx, New York, she was surrounded by the city’s dynamic art scene from an early age, an influence that continues to shape her aesthetic and approach.
In January 2021, Jennifer created Chroma Pop, an art business that specializes in handcrafted, custom decorative art products, virtual painting workshops, and offers exhibit management services. Jennifer has over 4 years of exhibit management experience, spanning her time at DCA and her work as an entrepreneur and gallerist. Recently, Jennifer has reintroduced herself in mix-media painting on canvas and plans to showcase some of her pieces (for the first time) in the upcoming 1st Encore Group Exhibition at 9s Studios later in 2026.
Jennifer formally served as the Visual Arts Coordinator at the Dorchester Center for the Arts in Cambridge, Maryland where she managed over 25 exhibitions during her time there from mid 2022 to early 2025. As her business expanded, she also took on the role of curator for an exhibition titled The Nod to Naz: A Tribute to Hertz Nazaire, organized by the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Inc. (SCDAA). The exhibition made it's debut in October, 2023 at SCDAA's Annual Convention in Arlington, VA. It has since become a traveling exhibition and featured at other organizations. The tour ran from April through October 2024 in Boston, MA, Atlanta, GA, and Los Angeles, CA - showcasing retrospective works by the late Hertz Nazaire. Since then, Jennifer has managed over 8 exhibitions as an entrepreneur. including the Hertz Nazaire exhibit.
In February, 2025 Jennifer and her business partner opened 9s Studios, an art/ photo studio and Gallery in the heart of Downtown Easton, Maryland. They display quarterly exhibitions by local and regional artists, host artist talks, run youth/adult interactive workshops, professional photo shoots, and specials events.
