Jennifer Hartfield is an artist, designer, and small business owner based in Maryland. A native of the Bronx, New York, Jennifer was immersed in the vibrant art and culture of the city from an early age, which sparked her creative passion. She studied Fashion Design at Mount Ida College (now UMass Amherst) in Newton, Massachusetts, and has since built a diverse career. While working full-time, she freelanced as an online visual merchandiser and as a designer and fabricator for an online lifestyle brand.
In January 2021, Jennifer created Chroma Pop, an art business that specializes in handcrafted decorative art products, virtual painting workshops, and offers exhibit management services representing both emerging and established artists, as well as corporate clients.
Jennifer formally served as the Visual Arts Coordinator at the Dorchester Center for the Arts in Cambridge from 2022-25, MD. As her business expanded, she also took on the role of curator for a traveling exhibition titled "Nod to Naz: A Tribute to Hertz Nazaire", organized the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Inc. (SCDAA). The exhibition ran from April to October 2024, showcasing the work of the late Hertz Nazaire.
In February, 2025 she and her business partner opened 9s Studios, an art and photo studio/ gallery in the heart of Downtown Easton, Maryland. 9S is a creative space that runs quarterly art exhibitions, artist talks, leads youth/adult interactive painting workshops, photo inspired workshops and professional photo shoots
