About the artist
Jennifer Hartfield is an artist, designer and small business owner based in Maryland. As a Bronx, New York native, Jennifer grew up surrounded by the city's abundance of art and culture. The sights and sounds of the big city inspired and ignited her creatively at a young age. In her early years, she studied Fashion Design at Mount Ida College (now UMass Amherst) in Newton, Massachusetts. Since then while working full-time, Jennifer freelanced as an online visual merchandiser and as a designer and fabricator for an online lifestyle brand. In January 2021, Jennifer established Chroma Pop, an art business where she creates handcrafted decorative art products and provides exhibit management services to emerging and established artists. Jennifer was formally the Visual Arts Coordinator and co- chair of the Gallery Committee at the Dorchester Center for the Arts in Cambridge, MD. In 2023, she also became the Curator for The Nod To "Naz": A Tribute to Hertz Nazaire", a traveling exhibition presented by Sickle Cell Disease Association of America (SCDAA).
